Poem: Smiles
Smiles are like sunshine,
warm and bright.
Smiles make everyone feel alright.
Here, with my friends, is where I like to be,
smiling at you, because you are smiling at me.

Hi we are room 209. We are students in the Chicago Public Schools and we maintain this blog. Brrrrr... I needed this poem this morning. It brings the color yellow into the room. Nice and warm and sunny.
We have a "Snow Day" at our school today, so I am at home looking out at a snow and ice covered world here in Central Indiana.

I am currently studying to become an elementary teacher. I live in Georgia and go to school at Georgia State University. We are learning about weblogs and I happened to go to your site first. I just wanted to comment on your poem. Poetry is a great way to express how you feel. I thought your poem was well stated and it made me smile. I just wanted to let you know that.
