My opinion about who is King of the Jungle.

I think the King of the Jungle is either the Saber-Tooth, Anaconda, Siberian Tiger, Gorilla because they are all very strong and they don't fear much. They also protect there families. But Saber-Tooths and Siberian Tigers don't live in the jungle but they could be king. I think a pterodactyl could have been the King of the Jungle in the past.

I have an opinion of who is king of the jungle. I think it is the rhinoceros because it is brave and its horns are like an ox.

Who I think is king of the jungle

I think the king of the jungle of the past is T-rex. I don't agree with Islamoyankee because T-rex could see a pterosaur flying and stretch its head up and snatch it in its mouth. Then I thought the rhino was the king of the jungle now because it could head-butt its enemies. But I
found out rhinos live on the plains. Now I think hedgehogs are the king of
the jungle because they could do a special ability: curving into
a ball. They could protect themselves because if they curve into a ball
their enemies will think it's a ball instead of prey. I don't know whether
hedgehogs live in the jungle, but this is my opinion.

My answer to David Weinberger's question, "If you were to ask what animal is the queen of the jungle, would your answer be any different?", is if it was the exact same question then the queen would just have to be a female. Also, like David, I wonder why people most of the time say king. I can only think of a few queen animal names. I can think of lots of king names like king of the jungle, king of the world, king of the beasts, king of the mountain, king of the road and king of the forest. C.C.T

Frida Kahlo

I studied Frida Kahlo and acted her out. I learned she was a famous artist. I admire her too. I also learned she smoked. My teacher Ms.Hunsberger thinks she smoked because she had a hard life. One thing I do know is she had polio as a child. She was in a serious bus accident too. It's a shame she had to die so soon. But people can still admire her work. C.C.T

We did presentations on famous people. I liked Helen Keller and Sammy Sosa
I liked Helen Keller because she had more details about her life and she was blind and deaf and still followed her deams. And I also wanted to know more about Sammy Sosa. I leared when Sammy Sosa was born, in November 12, 1968 .

About Harriet Tubman' s life.

She was born 1820 or 1821. She gerw up in Maryland. She was a slave and she worked as hard as a grown up . One day her owner almost killed her with a metal brick . One night she and her 3 brothers tried to escape . Her brothers went back and so did she . But then one night she went off alone. She went all the way to Pennsylvania and freed herself .She used the underground railroad. The underground railroad is a path of houses to freedom. Harriet Tubman is a lot like Sojourner Truth. She freed slaves too.

Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States. He reminds us of Martin Lurther King because they both wanted freedom for people and they both got shot. Abe owned a shop and a man came in with a barrel. Abe did not know but that barrel would change his life. There was a book inside. It talk about law. Abe met a laywer named John T. Stuart. After the Civil War President Lincoln got shot. D.W and J.C.

Thomas Alva Edison

Thomas Alva Edison was an inventor. He invented 1,093 things. He also issued more patents than any other inventor. In 1874, he invented the quadruplex, which could send 4 messages at the same time over 1 wire. In 1877, he invented the carbon telephone transmitter and the first phonograph. In 1879, he invented the electric light bulb. When I learned about Thomas Edison, it reminded me of Henry Ford and the Wright brothers because they were also inventors. Henry Ford invented the Model T Car and the Wright brothers invented a plane called the Flyer. When I learned about Thomas not doing well in class, it reminded me of Mohandas Gandhi, because he also did not do well in class.

Story:Dogs Running Away

It was a nice day. Suddenly dogs were all over San Franciso Street. People tried to stop them but no one could stop them. There were no dog catchers to catch the dogs. People called the dog catchers but they did not come.
Some people thought that maybe if they brought their trucks it might scare the dogs. But it did not scare the dogs away.
Then a person said, "Maybe if we all bring our cars and trucks we might scare the dogs away." So they all did it, but it did not work.
Suddenly a plane was landing. Some dogs went away. A man said to another man, "Are you thinking what I am thinking?" The man said, "Yes." So everybody got their planes. They pretended to land on San "Franciso Street near the dogs. They scared all the dogs away.

In Papua New Guinea people love to eat worms. In Spain they like to eat octopus.
All over the workld peole like to eat different animals. The animals you eat depend on the country and culture you have. So that means all different animals are meat you can eat. K.P.
